American military officials say members of the U.S. Navy SEAL Team 6 have killed seven members of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in a counterterror raid in central Yemen, reports the New York Times.
Tuesday morning's raid was aimed at gathering AQAP intelligence in Marib, about 100 miles northeast of the capital Sanaa, said a U.S. defense official cited by NBC News.
