Scorpions To Provide Army With Surveillance Capabilities

The U.S. Army has awarded a contract to Northrop Grumman for autonomous unattended ground sensor (UGS) systems, reports the defense firm.
The deal covers Scorpion and Scorpion II UGS systems, which provide a remote persistent surveillance capability for improved situational awareness and intelligence-gathering.
The Scorpion has already been deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq.
