Scientists Launch Hack-Proof Quantum Satellite

China has launched its second quantum satellite as part of efforts to create a global quantum communications network, reports the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong).

The low-earth orbit satellite, designated Jian 1, was one of six satellites launched by a Lijian quick-response rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert on Wednesday, reported Xinhua, China’s state news agency.
