Saying Nation In 'State Of War' President Invokes Emergency Powers

In response to an attack that killed dozens, Tunisia's President Beji Caid Essebi has declared a state of emergency, reports CNN.

The emergency declaration grants more powers to security forces and limits the right of public assembly over a renewable 30-day period, reported the BBC.

"Tunisia faces a very serious danger and it should take any possible measures to maintain security and safety," said Essebi in a televised speech on Saturday.
