Saudi Forces Start Pullout

A Saudi source says Saudi Arabian military units will complete their withdrawal from Bahrain by next week, the New York Times reports.

Three months ago, Bahrain asked Saudi Arabia for military help in putting down mass Shi'ite protests.

The Saudi forces began to leave this week and most should be finished by Monday, the Saudi official said. A small number is expected to remain, he added.

A Bahraini official confirmed the move, but gave no further details.
