Sarkozy Heads E.U. Efforts For Nuclear Weapon Cuts

Led by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the European Union is urging the international community to reduce nuclear weapon arsenals, reports the E.U. Observer.

Sarkozy, the current head of the E.U., last week wrote a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon with ideas for tougher nuclear arms control.

The letter urges an international agreement banning nuclear testing and the dismantling of all nuclear test installations.
