Samkang M&T Tapped To Build Ulsan-Class Frigate

South Korea has selected Samkang M&T, a midsize shipbuilder, to construct one of its next-generation Ulsan-class frigates, reports the Naval News.
On Jan. 4, Samkang M&T received an initial US$27.8 million contract for the construction of an Ulsan-class frigate, also known as the FFX Batch III.
Seoul awarded the basic design contract for the frigates to Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2019. The company received a detailed design and construction contract last year.
