The Singapore government has reportedly agreed in principle to permit the U.S. Navy to forward deploy up to four littoral combat ships to Singapore on a rotational basis, reports the Navy Times.
The agreement was reached Saturday after a meeting between Singapore's Defense Minister Ng En Hen and U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta at the Shangri-La Dialogue meeting of regional defense ministers in Singapore.
