Saab Countermeasures System Makes 1st Flight On F-18

The Finnish air force has completed the first flight with a Saab countermeasures system on the U.S.-made F-18 Hornet, reports the Swedish defense firm that developed the system.
The integration of the BOL countermeasures dispenser on the F-18 is part of Finland's Hornet mid-life upgrade 2 (MLU2) program, said officials.
Saab was awarded the contract for production and integration in September 2009, according to a company release.
