The North Korean government has deployed a number of buoys near the western maritime border, say South Korean sources cited by the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
About 10 buoys have been set up near the Northern Limit Line (NLL), the de facto border in the Yellow Sea, said a military source on Thursday.
"We are analyzing the North's intention, and it appears to be out of necessity for its military," said the unnamed source.
