Russian Military Police Patrolling Manbij

Russian military police have begun patrolling Manbij in northern Syria near the Turkish border, reports Russia's Tass news agency.

Russian forces are patrolling the security zone around Manbij to “ensure security in the area of responsibility [and] to monitor the situation and movements of armed formations,” a military police spokesman told Russia’s Rossiya 24 TV on Tuesday.

Patrols will be conducted on a regular basis, although the route will change frequently, the spokesman said....
