Russian military police have deployed to northern Syria following the withdrawal of U.S. troops and allied Kurdish militia, reports BBC News.
On Thursday, Russian police were seen on the streets of Kobani (Ayn Al-Arab) and Manbij.
An additional 276 police and 33 pieces of equipment will be sent within the week, a defense ministry source told RIA Novosti, as cited by Reuters.
