Russian infantry personnel are heading to India ahead of next week's bilateral Indra combat exercises, reports the Times of India.
Around 250 Russians will participate in the 10-day drills at the Mahajan ranges in Rajasthan in northern India.
The exercise is focused on building interoperability in counter-terrorism operations, according to an Indian military official.
In December, the two countries plan to hold the Indra naval exercises off the east coast of India.
