Russian Fighter Intercepts U.S. Patrol Aircraft Over Baltic

Russia says one of its fighter jets intercepted a U.S. reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea, reports Russia's Tass news agency.
On Monday, radars detected a P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft over international waters in the Baltic, said the defense ministry.
An Su-27 fighter jet was scrambled and identified the aircraft as a P-8A, it said in a statement.
After escorting the plane away from the Russian border, the fighter returned home, said the ministry.
