Russian, Chinese Officials Vow Anti-Narcotics Cooperation

Officials from Russia and China have signed a protocol pledging to boost cooperation against drug-trafficking, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
Visiting in Beijing, Viktor Ivanov, the head of the Russian Drug Control Agency, noted that China has also experienced an increase in the narcotics trade, particularly from Afghan heroin coming through Pakistan.
Ivanov met last week with Meng Jianzhu, the Chinese public security minister.
