Russia Keeps Pantsyr-S1s Coming On Schedule

Russian export officials say deliveries to the United Arab Emirates of Russian-made Pantsyr-S1 air and missile defense systems have begun, reports Interfax-AVN.

"The Instrument Design Bureau is delivering Pantsyr-S1 systems. As far as we know, the deliveries are on schedule," said an official on Saturday from Russia's Rosoboronexport arms export agency.

The agency also hopes to help modernize the UAE's BMP-3 armored personnel carriers, he said.
