The British minehunter Middleton has wrapped up an exercise with U.S. Navy warships in the Persian Gulf, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
During the 10-day exercise that concluded last week, the Hunt-class ship found 13 dummy mines laid by friendly forces, said Royal Navy officials.
The warmer Gulf waters make minehunting more difficult because the temperatures there weaken sonar signals, said officials.
