Italy may deploy ships to Libyan waters by the end of August to help combat human-trafficking, says a government source cited by Reuters.
A plan for such a mission is expected to be brought to the Cabinet on Friday. A parliamentary vote on the proposal may be held next week, said the source on Thursday.
