Rolls-Royce Wins Sub Reactor Contract

Defense Secretary Philip Hammond has announced a 1 billion pound (US$1.57 billion) plan to build reactors for the next generation of British nuclear submarines, Agence France-Presse reports.
The Royal Navy plans to replace its fleet of Vanguard submarines, which carry the Trident missile, with a new vessel in the 2020s.
Rolls-Royce will build core reactors for the new submarines, as well as the current fleet of Astute-class attack subs, Hammond told the BBC on Sunday.
