There was no damage or casualties caused by a rocket that was fired into the Green Zone in Baghdad, where many government agencies and foreign embassies are located, reports the Baghdad Post.
On Sunday, a Katyusha rocket struck near the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, about 1,640 feet (500 m) north of the U.S. Embassy compound, the military said on Monday.
The State Dept. confirmed the account, calling the projectile a low-grade rocket.
