Robotic Beast Of Burden To Accompany Ground Forces

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) just unveiled a new robotic platform for ground operations at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, reports the defense firm.

The REX can carry up to 440 pounds (200 kg) of equipment for squad-sized units on operational and logistic missions for up to 72 hours without refueling, says the manufacturer.

The vehicle is designed to follow a lead soldier from a given distance and may be controlled with simple voice commands. ...
