Separate roadside bomb attacks on Monday in southern Afghanistan killed six Afghan police officers and two U.S. soldiers, the Voice of America reports.
The police officers were killed and four others wounded when a bomb destroyed their vehicle in the Khakrez district of Kandahar province, Afghan officials said.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
