Seven Afghan children were seriously hurt when an improvised explosive device (IED) blew up Tuesday in the Garm Ser district of Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, reports NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
Coalition forces responded to the attack and brought the injured to an ISAF medical facility, said the ISAF.
Troops also disposed of a secondary IED found near the site of the blast, officials said.
