River Channel Change Leads To Border Shifting With Finland

Sweden is expected to be granted a small area of former Finnish territory following a border review, reports the Local (Stockholm).
Every 25 years the two nations review their shared border, said a Swedish Foreign Ministry official.
A groove along the bottom of the Torne River, which serves as part of the mutual border, has moved somewhat since the last review. Accordingly, about 86 acres (35 hectares) of Swedish territory is being ceded to Finland.
