Ricocheting Tank Shell Kills 1, Injures 5 During Military Exercise Near St. Petersburg

A Russian soldier was killed and five others injured in an explosion during a live-fire exercise at a range near St. Petersburg, reports Interfax-AVN.
During scheduled target practice on Thursday, a tank shell was fired off course, ricocheting against the ground and exploding near a position in which the six troops had taken cover, report Russia's RT.
An investigation into the incident has begun, noted a release from the Russian Defense Ministry.
