On April 29, 2026, Rheinmetall announced the christening of the fifth K130-class corvette, named LÜBECK, in Hamburg, Germany. After the christening, the vessel is set to undergo final outfitting, testing, and acceptance before entering service.

Additional corvettes from the same project are expected to be delivered later in the year, marking continued progress.

The K130-class corvettes are about 89 meters long and are built for coastal missions like reconnaissance and anti-surface warfare. They are suited for operations in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
