The Russian armed forces have officially completed the establishment of four new territorial military districts as part of an ongoing reform program, reports Interfax-AVN.
According to Lt. Gen. Andrei Tretyak, the deputy chief of the General Staff, the Western Military District replaces the Moscow and Leningrad districts.
