Residents are fleeing Cameroon's Anglophone regions amid fears of escalating violence, reports the Voice of America news. 

Fighting between separatists and the military increased after a New Year's speech by President Paul Biya, in which he reiterated a tough stance against the militants fighting for independence. 

Many have fled out of fear of the military, which has been accused of killing civilians and burning homes, according to a resident of the northwestern village of Kumbo. ...
