Officials from the African Union and United Nations have warned of the threat of the Ugandan-based Lord's Resistance Army militant group, reports the U.N. News Service.
The envoys were in Chad on Tuesday to meet with President Idriss Deby to discuss the possibility of LRA militants finding a safe haven in that country.
The militants are based primarily in the Central African Republic, which borders Chad, according to the U.N. Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA).
