Russia

Repairs are about to commence on a Russian navy submarine that was damaged in a fire last year, reports the Barents Observer.

The Yekaterinburg, a Delta IV-class sub, caught fire on Dec. 29 while in a floating dock at the Roslyakovo naval shipyard north of Murmansk.

The submarine's outer hull and sonar antennas were badly damaged.

The repairs will take place at the Zvezdochka Shipyard, not far from Arkhangelsk in northern Russia.
