Naval analysts estimate that it could cost around $500 million to repair USS Fitzgerald, which was badly damaged in a June collision with a cargo ship off the coast of Japan, reports USNI News.
The price tag to repair the destroyer is expected to be well more than the $250 million it took to repair sister ship USS Cole after a 2000 terrorist attack in Yemen.
