Reopening Of Subic Bay Military Base Seen As Strategic Move

The Philippine government has decided to station new fighter jets and two frigates at a former U.S. Navy base in Subic Bay, say officials cited by Reuters.
The move is expected early next year, reported the International Business Times.
The military signed an agreement with May with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority to use parts of the installation under a 15-year lease, Defense Undersecretary Pio Lorenzon Bation told Reuters on Wednesday.
