Regular Army Down 20,000 Well Ahead Of Schedule; Reserve Recruitment Lags

The British army has reached its planned personnel reduction goal of 20,000 three years ahead of schedule, reports London's Daily Telegraph.
The fact that the cuts were not gradual has raised concerns. Additions from the reserves were supposed to fill the gap, but that has not happened, say officials.
Recruiting problems and poor morale has seen the service contract faster than expected. The army was projected to reach a reduced end-strength of 82,000 in 2018.
