The federal government in Somalia and what it calls "federal member states" have agreed to form a national security council to help bolster security, reports the U.N. News Service.
Among the states are Puntland and Jubaland, noted Africa Times.
The decision came after two days of talks in Mogadishu led by President Mohamed Abdullah Farmajo.
