Regional AQAP Commander Surrenders In Lahij

A senior regional Al-Qaida leader has turned himself in to Yemeni security forces, reports Al-Arabiya (Dubai).
Khaled Abdelnabi surrendered on Saturday to security forces in the Yafa'a district of Lahij govenorate, according to domestic media.
Abdelnabi has been identified as a leader of Ansar al-Sharia, a local affiliate of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). Also known as Abu Basir al-Yazidi, he is wanted by the U.S.
