The Russian government is reforming its military educational and scientific institutions, reports Interfax-AVN.
As part of the project, the branch of the air force academy in Krasnodar will become the Serov Military Piloting College on Aug. 1. The independent entity will also be responsible for a network of air training bases, said Lt. Gen. Gennady Zibrov, the head of the academy.
Other branches in Syzran and Chelyabinsk will also become independent, he said.
