Recruitment Put On Hold Over Lack Of Facilities

The Namibian military says it will cease recruiting new soldiers for the next two years due to a lack of accommodations, reports the Namibian (Windhoek).

Defense Minister Charles Namoloh told the Parliament this week that regular recruitment into the armed forces would be suspended for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 financial years.

Specialists and other staff billets will be filled as required, he said.
