The Estonian government is preparing the largest defense budget in history for 2018, reports the Baltic News Service.
Defense spending will total about 528 million euros (US$633 million) next year, said Defense Minister Juri Luik.
"There is still a political consensus in Estonia that funding national defense is a priority," the minister said. "Two percent of the GDP is the minimum which we must contribute to national defense to guarantee its sustainability."
