Recently Delivered Su-30 Fighters Expected To Protect Oil Region

The Russian arms export agency Rosoboronexport has completed deliveries of six Su-30MK2 fighters to Uganda, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
The last two aircraft were handed over recently, according to a military source.
Uganda purchased the aircraft last year as part of a US$740 million arms deal, the Wall Street Journal reported at the time.
In April 2011, the Journal noted that Uganda was seeking to protect its oil-producing Lake Albert region.
