Libyan rebels say they have seized control of a massive government arms depot in the western desert, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The rebels said they forced dozens of Libyan troops to flee Ghaaa military base on Tuesday after a midnight battle.
The base, which has been called the largest arms depot in Africa, is located in the Amazigh region of the Nafusa Mountains.
It contained a huge supply of rockets and ammunition for high-caliber machine guns, said the rebels.
