Rebels Turn Remote-Controlled Trucks Into Weapons

Syrian rebel fighters have developed a new weapon: truck bombs remotely driven via wireless controllers, reports the McClatchy Newspapers.

A bomb maker in Hama told the reporter that his inventions cost about US$200,000 each and are steered using a remote-controlled curtain opener.

Another bomb maker showed off a propane tank filled with a homemade explosive that is triggered by the same curtain-opening device.
