Rebels based in Sudan's South Darfur region say they have attacked a government convoy near the village of Dugu Al Umda, reports Radio Dabanga (Netherlands).
Fighters from the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) ambushed the convoy of 65 vehicles on Tuesday, said a rebel spokesman.
The convoy, en route from Al Malam to the North Jabal Marra Mountains, was carrying soldiers, police officers, border patrol officers, weapons and food, said the spokesman.
