Libyan rebels say they have headed from Misrata toward Tripoli, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
The opposition said its fighters are advancing on Zlitan, one of three towns separating Misrata from the capital.
Fighting is taking place in the Mediterranean port city of Zawiyah, west of Tripoli, said the opposition.
