Colombian rebels sprang one of their commanders from captivity on Wednesday.
The National Liberation Army (ELN), the second-largest rebel group in Colombia, launched an attack on motorcycles, the BBC reports.
Gustavo Anibal Giraldo Quinchia, alias Pablito, was being transferred to a court hearing when three gunmen attacked his eight-man escort in the northeastern city of Arauca, said security officials.
