A rebel group says Sudanese troops attacked its positions in Darfur Thursday, killing dozens, the Voice of America News reports.
Over 50 people were killed and more than 150 others were wounded, said a spokesman for the rebel Sudan Liberation Army.
The fighting took place in the rebel-controlled district of Tabra, the rebel spokesman said, and continued into Friday.
An army spokesman denied that its troops had been involved in any fighting.
