The leader of the Darfur-based rebel group Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) in Sudan was denied entry to Chad's main airport on Wednesday after a flight from Libya, Reuters reports.
Khalil Ibrahim said that Chadian officials at the N'Djamena airport destroyed the passports of everyone in his party, then ordered him to return to Tripoli.
The JEM group has been closely linked to Chad's government, regularly using its territory as a base and transit point.
