Rearmament Program To Include T-90 Tank Upgrading, Says Minister

The Kremlin says it will upgrade hundreds of T-90 tanks in service with the Russian army, reports Russia's Sputnik news agency.

Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov told reporters at the Russian arms expo, held in Nizhny Tagil: "We have got about [T-90] 400 tanks, which were ordered in the early 2000s. Some 12-15 years have passed since then. They need to be updated. Therefore, we are considering modernization of the tank park."
