The South Korean Defense Ministry says that trust-building and arms control measures with North Korea have not hurt readiness, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
The agreement reached last year is designed to prevent accidental clashes, reduce tensions and build trust on both sides. It does not affect military readiness, a spokeswoman said on Thursday.
