The Royal Canadian Air Force says its anti-Islamic State operation in support of coalition operations in Iraq and Syria has surpassed 1,000 flights and 100 airstrikes.
Canada deployed six CF-18 Hornet fighters, a CC-150T Polaris aerial tanker and two CP-140M Aurora patrol aircraft to the Middle East in October 2014.
As of June 6, the Canadian aircraft had completed 1,016 sorties, including 661 by CF-18 fighters; 185 CP-140 reconnaissance missions; and 170 CC-150T refueling...
