Raytheon Wins Upgrade Work For Patriot Missiles

Raytheon says it has been awarded an Army contract to modernize Patriot missiles.
The $58.2 million contract -- issued by the Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. -- covers the upgrade Patriot Advance Capability-2 (PAC-2) missiles to the Patriot Guidance Enhanced Missile-Tactical (GEM-T) configuration.
The modernization is designed to improve the missiles' performance against tactical ballistic and cruise missiles. Select components will also be replaced...
